BIO
Growing up in the heat of Miami had a real impact on Liat's creative sensibilities, as shown in the gritty realism of her work. Beginning her career as an intern at Scott Rudin Productions, Liat used her industry knowledge as a springboard to direct GET KISSED OR DIE BRIAN, which has been licensed by Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Her ongoing collaborations with four-time Academy Award nominated writer/director Benh Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and writer/director Pepi Ginsberg continue to inspire her creative growth. Liat's previous work has been screened at CAA's Annual Moebius Showcase, New Orleans and Portland Film Festivals, and New York's MOMA. She's had work supported by Tribeca Film Institute Network and had various projects licensed to Amazon, Apple, and HBO Europe. In 2020, she received her MFA from USC's Film and Television Production program with a focus in writing and directing. She is a ScreenCraft Virtual Pitch Finalist and a quarterfinalist in the running for ScreenCraft's 11th Annual Screenwriting Fellowship.
